The SMS PREMIUM service is the case of SMS 2-WAY with overcharging of the service for the end user. There is a prior SMS MO (in this case called MO Premium) of the user and an SMS MT (here, MT Premium) reply. |

This overcharging means income for the customer. The user sends an SMS MO (mobile originated) message to a short number that is paid at a higher price than to a normal SMS (0.30, 0.90 or 1.2 euros plus VAT), and receives in return a reply from the system.
If it is being used for content, it may receive more than one reply. The additional replies will be normal text SMS MT or Wap Push for downloading the acquired content.
It is especially used for business related to immediacy and interactivity, so well known as television and radio game shows, lotteries, micro-payments for downloading Internet content, for chatting, etc.
This way, companies that contract the service can outsource their technology with a single partner that covers their gateway service, as well as providing them with the optimum vertical solution for their sector, already programmed and parameterisable to take into consideration any type of voting, game show, chat, etc.

The Alerts System is a subscription service that allows a number of SMS messages (an SMS MT called MT Alert) paid for by the receiver by reverse charges, as they have first subscribed by sending an SMS message registering for the service (an SMS MO called SMS MO Alert.) |

The cost of reception for the user (reversed charges) goes from 0.20 to 0.50 euros plus VAT per message received.
The company contracting the service can send at the appropriate time, for free and to the whole subscription list, the message that they want to send to a specific list of subscribers who want to stay appropriately informed of the subject matter of the Alert Service.
