Barcelona, 7 June 2010.- The international growth strategy deployed by SITmobile has been recognised with the Barcelona Enterprising Capital Award.
The award considered the company’s results and rising trajectory in turnover, in creating jobs, in its business model and internationalisation. The innovation, the investment in R&Di and the setup of a management team in line with the growth challenges of the company were other points considered.
Marc Bonavia, joint founder of the SITmobile company says, “You can reach clients’ mobiles anywhere in the world. But the correct way to do so is by making every message something personal. This is why we are a global company that offers its services locally”.
SITmobile was started in 2001 by 2 young entrepreneurs in Barcelona. Nine years later, it is a multinational of mobile services with offices in Barcelona, Madrid, Santiago de Chile, Sao Paulo, Bahrain, London and Kochi (India). The company’s expansion and internationalisation began in 2008 with the creation of a commercial Hub for Asia, and a software development and production centre in the state of Kerala, in the Infopark technological centre. In the same year, SITmobile landed in Chile to make Santiago de Chile the regional centre of commercial operations. In late 2009, the subsidiary was constituted in Bahrain in order to serve the Middle East. These operations were followed by the centre in Sao Paulo for Brazil, and in London to strengthen its contacts in Europe.
In 2009, SITmobile had a turnover of 6.9 million euros.
