Alejandro Bárcena, nuevo director de estrategia de SitMobile
La incorporación de Alejandro Bárcena supondrá el desarrollo de una estrategia de comercialización que servirá para desarrollar acciones de impulso para el crecimiento de negocio de los clientes de servicios de valor añadido en el móvil Madrid, 16 de abril de 2008.- SitMobile, compañía especializada en servicios de comunicación al móvil por mensajería SMS & Proximity Marketing, ha incorporado como Responsable de Estrategia a Alejandro Bárcena. Alejandro Bárcena procede de Grupo Telelinea, la compañía de servicios de valor agregado y explotación de contenidos, con responsabilidades de dirección de producción. Entre sus funciones destacaban el análisis y puesta en marcha de estrategias de negocio en tecnología 3G, y contenidos Premium de voz y SMS. Alejandro Bárcena tiene formación en derecho, en Marketing y en ventas, y obtuvo el Master en Project Management (MPM) en la especialidad de Empresa por la Universidad de La Salle-Ramón Llull.

eGovernment Mobile Services workshop at Barcelona Activa with SitMobile
Marc Bonavia from SitMobile presents the case of "SMS & Proximity Marketing" at the Government. The objective of the workshop is to learn from successful experiences in designing, developing and deploying innovative eGovernment services for municipalities based on mobile phones. A number of relevant cases, all of them based on real experiences in the design and setting-up of services, will be presented to become the basis of the discussion and exchange of experiences. However, the workshop is organised to give all participants an opportunity to present their cases, projects and initiatives. The workshop is addressed to practitioners involved in the conceptualisation, design, development, testing and operations of public municipalities services and eGovernment solutions over mobile phones. Practitioners may hold positions such as project management, technical coordination, senior technicians and administrators and may come from the public administrations, industry or academia. The IB-Salut (The Central Managed Healthcare Public Organization in Balearic Islands, in Spain) has sent over half million text messages (SMS) to remind their patients of their doctor´s appointment.
Spain has been the first country in the world to use text messages (SMS) in the public healthcare. The project was successfully launched by SitMobile. Since IBsalud began using text messaging services, appointment cancelations have dropped by a 20%. IBSalud has sent over half million text messages (SMS) to remind their patients of their doctor´s appointment. According to the information provided by InSalud to Europa Press; the Balearic Islands: Son Dureta, Son Llàtzer and Manacor Hospitals have sent an average of 134.000 text messages (SMS) as reminders, since the service was first used back in July 2005. 20.530 text messages (SMS) were sent from Verge del Toro Hospital (Island of Menorca), while the number of messages sent in Can Misses has reached up to 52.066. Inca Hospital is still testing the service This text messaging service (SMS) reminds patients of their appointments 3 days in advance. The appointment´s date and time are confirmed and cancelations are notified to the respective healthcare centers. Spain has been pioneer in text messaging helping lowering the amount of daily canceled appointments at the Balearic Hospitals, reducing over a 20% the amount of visit cancelations. According to hospitals, this allows them to ease the appointment scheduling and the end, to better the service. The Project is part of IBsalud´s introduction to new technologies, which began back in 2004. The IBsalud quotes "the purpose of using these technologies is to provide better communication between Spanish Citizens and the public healthcare system”.. In the near future, IBsalud will be providing a new service: reminding patients who suffer VIH virus of the date and time of their medication intake.

Madrid Works with SitMobile during the ATP Master´s Series Event sponsored by Mutua Madrileña
SitMobile helped the media coverage of the ATP Master´s Series Event sponsored by the Spanish Insurance Corporation “Mutua Madrlieña”. SitMobile provided a SMS direct communication channel, between the Master´s Series Event and the media coverage. The company also used SMS for public participation in the Tennis Master´s Series Event. Madrid, October 17th. Mutua Madrileña Master´s Series Event reached a participation agreement with SitMobile. San Miguel launches the biggest Bluetooth campaign in the world with SITmobile
• 199 lorries of San Miguel will bring joy to the San Fermin festival all over Spain and send out via Bluetooth devices the exclusive song from the advertisement “First of January we must set out to win”
• SITmobile will take on the technological challenge with the control and implanting of the network of Bluetooth devices Barcelona, 6th June, 2007.- San Miguel is launching this summer the biggest ever Bluetooth campaign to date on an international level. In honour of the San Fermin festival, 199 beer delivery lorries will go around handing out joy, as those users who cross the lorry route will receive via Bluetooth the tone of the song “First of January we must set out to win”, launched by San Miguel exclusively for tis television advertisement. SITmobile, leader in sending of messages, has designed the technological structure of the project and will be in charge of implanting and controlling the Bluetooth devices of the San Miguel delivery lorries.
Original, innovating and unique. This is how the new campaign to be launched by San Miguel on 15th June next can best be described. In honour of the San Fermin festival, 170 of its beer delivery lorries will take joy with them wherever they go. The project consists of the installation of a network of data issue devices in the San Miguel beer delivery lorries. These devices will allow data to be sent to users of mobile telephones with Bluetooth installations, within a 35 m. Radius of the lorry. The function is simple and easy to use. The Bluetooth device installed in the lorry will search for those mobile phones around it with the wireless function activated. As soon as the device detects one of these telephones, it will automatically send a message asking for permission to send an audio content. If the user accepts it, the song “First of January we must set out to win” will be downloaded to this phone. In the event of the user not being interested, the download will not be send and the system will not request this again. San Miguel and SITmobile have placed Spain at the head of this pioneer project in marketing, as this is the first time in the world that a campaign has been set up using Bluetooth technology covering such an extensive territory (all the north of Spain), using a large number of Bluetooth devices (199 lorries with the device installed in them) and generating so many impacts (over 500,000 downloads planned). Marc Operator, official distributor of Vodafone, initiates a campaign at a shop in the city of Terrassa to inform customers through Bluetooth of their product offers.
• SITmobile will implant and manage this innovative advertising initiative of Marc Operator, who is Vodafone official distributor.
• The idea is to extend the campaign to the rest of the group shops in Terrassa and the rest of Barcelona surroundings. Barcelona, April, 4th, 2007. - Marc Operator, official Vodafone distributor, launches a new way of advertisement in its shops using Bluetooth technology. Their aim is to contact its potential clients through mobile phones. SITmobile, SMS leader company, will implant and manage this innovating system which has already been tested at a Vodafone shop in Sant Gaietà Street, City of Terrassa, Barcelona. If the campaign works, the project will be implemented to the rest of Marc Operator shops in Terrassa and in the province of Barcelona. SITmobile has sent over 1.000.000 Text Messages (SMS) during a single day
April, 19th, 2007, in Barcelona. - SITmobile has broken a new record: last April 12th, the company sent over 1.000.000 SMS. SITmobile is leader in SMS message volume. The company closed its third 2006 quarter with over 65 million SMS messages sent in Spain, the record demonstrates the company´s rapid growth and its consolidation in the sector. Close to 60,000 SMS were sent to taxi drivers during the “Construmat Trade Show” in Barcelona.
• Taxi drivers are informed during trade shows of the need of their services by means of an alert sent to their respective mobile phones. The service was activated by SITmobile during the month of March and it is currently being used by the Taxi Metropolitan Institute of Barcelona. Barcelona, May, 15th, 2007. – During 13th thru 19th May, the Taxi Metropolitan Institute of Barcelona will send a total of 57,177 SMS to all taxi drivers informing them of the need to send taxis during rush hours to the “Construmat Trade Show”. All taxi drivers in active-duty in the areas of Montjuic and Gran Vía, who have registered into this service shall receive a daily SMS reminder. May 13th, a reminder of the opening and a schedule of the trade show was sent to all active-duty taxi drivers. The City of Alella, Barcelona promotes its well known wine through Bluetooth
• The City Council has placed Bluetooth devices in certain areas in order to provide tourists with relevant information sent directly to their mobile phones The City Council of Alella has been the first city in Spain to use Bluetooth technology for sending out tourist information. The information is sent via Bluetooth to all points of tourist interest, the use of this particular technology is meant for visitors who arrive at Alella. Information about local Monuments, restaurants, wineries, is sent via Bluetooth. The devices have been placed in strategic spots (Police Stations, Parking´s, City Town Hall, entrances and exits). These devices emit a message to any receptive mobile phones informing about the different services, always requesting approval before the message is finally sent. If the message is accepted by the recipient the information is immediately transmitted. One of the strong points is the areas wine production information. Alella wines are known for being good wines. The information not only specifies areas of interest but provides information about the different types of wine. The main objective of the agreement signed between Tomás Moral, President of the Catalan Handball Federation (FCH) and SITSMS, represented by Oscar Franco, is the one to improve the services offered by all the handball clubs. 04/10/06 – Marchamalo Municipality will inform its citizens via SMS
Starting from this week, citizens of Marchamalo will be able to subscribe the new SMS free service that the Town Hall wants to offer to all the inhabitants of the town. In this way the citizens a part from keep informed throughout the normal means of communication and Internet, will have the opportunity to receive directly on their mobile phones all the information about the municipal activities, such as cultural and sport events, alerts on breakdowns and all sorts of useful administrative information. During this week the Town Hall is advertising all citizens about this new initiative by putting leaflets inside their mailboxes. The flyer informs about the characteristics of this service. Citizens have to fulfill the leaflet with their personal data and give it back to the Town Hall (during its opening times) and they will be inserted in the list of receptors of the messages. At the beginning, the municipality invested 4.500 euro which will allow it to send 40.000 messages. The first statistics stand out a monthly traffic of about 5.000 messages. This first “pack” of SMSs will give to both parts a more realistic idea of the annual traffic and, as a consequence, it will estimate the cost of maintenance of this new service, which is totally free of charge for the citizens. During the next months the service will be implemented and improved, both parts are already working on some useful ideas. The municipality will create a list of users for people attending the Sport School, in order to inform them in a self tailored way about the local sport agenda, including information on timetables, courtyards, etc… In the same way, SITSMS is talking with ADAC to find out solutions to use this informative channel to transmit information about employment.
All the SMS will be delivered to the citizens’ mobile phones with the originator “Marchamalo”, which will stand out all SMS sent by the Town Hall. The service can be used by all the mobile phones operators, just one thing is needed: the beneficiary must be register in the Town Hall of Marchamalo. Citizens will have to renew their will to receive the SMSs by writing, every January, to the Town Hall.

Thanks to its efficiency, Government bets for the communication via SMS SITSMS, the company specialized in the SMS which is the Spanish leader of this sector with 35 millions messages sent in 2005, develops a system of alerts via SMS for the Keli Finder’s project, the web that publish all the information about governmental houses for young people that has been created by the Spanish Youth Council.
Thanks to this system, young people by subscribing this service, receive immediately all the news via SMS. Government chose this system because it is quick and very effective.
SITSMS develops this system in order to give to subscribers the possibility to configure their own profile following some established parameters, such as the geographic area, so that they can receive only the information they are interesting in. Mr. Marc Bonavia, director of marketing of SITSMS, states that “this system is very innovative and important, because people interested in receiving information about governmental houses can obtain it in an easier and more self tailored way”.

The Council of the Youth of Spain (CJE), in collaboration with the Ministry of House, will present/display in press conference a pioneering tool in our country since it is the first vestibule that collects and deals with all house which they publish the city councils, the communities and the own State. This initiative of the CJE arises from the difficulty of youth to emancipate itself as well as of the complex one, it disperses and decentralized information on the aids to accede to a house. The SITSMS Night’s solution has just created a novelty which will simplify the management of the scheduled messages. The display for the scheduled messages includes the option to delete a scheduled communication, whenever the customer desires it. So, to be able to schedule the messages is a real advantage, because they can be deleted according to the customer’s needs.

5/01/06 - SITSMS closes 2005 with more than 35 millions SMSs sent by using its solutions.
The volume of SMSs sent in 2005 increases 5 times respects to one reached in 2004. The forecasts for 2006 talk about 100 millions SMSs sent by using the SITSMS’s solutions. SITSMS bases these forecasts on the strong growth of its solutions and on the strengthening of its commercial relationships with the English, French, Italian and Portuguese markets where it has already started working.

24/11/05 - SITSMS puts on the market a pack of SMS’s solutions especially designed for the public sector.
SITSMS, the creator of the wireless solutions for the companies, presented the “SITSMS Gov", a suite of solutions able to make the SMS at the town councils disposal. The solution’s aim is the improvement and the simplification of all possible communications between the public sector and the citizens. This solution is being used by the town council of the cities of Alella and Alcalà de Guadaira, which use it for their internal communications as well as to contact with the citizens, offering them different information services via SMS.

7/11/05 - SITSMS won the project to manage the FCBarcelona’s SMS communications directed to its supporters.
Starting from November 2005 SITSMS will send more than 500.000 messages per month to the FCBarcelona’s supporters informing them about times and days of all matches as soon as the Federation communicates them, soon after the end of a match SITSMS will announce the results of it and it will communicate all sort of interesting news for the supporters. SITSMS modified its CRM for sending SMS (PRManager) in order to respond to the FCBarcelona press department’s needs according to the suggestions of the FCBarcelona supporters department, who’s responsable is Mr. Pasi Lankinen. SITSMS manages a large part of the FCBarcelona’s database in order to be able to send self tailored messages, writing the text of it in the language chosen by the supporter, including his name, his age, his gender and other parameters, such as if the supporter is a football’s subscriber, a basketball’s one or if he is not a subscriber at all. Moreover, it has been activated the automatic service included in the CRM of SITSMS (PRManager) which is able to send self tailored greeting messages to all supporters on the day of their birthday.

SITSMS enters the new sector of MVAS, added value mobile services, and it is one of first MVAS’s companies (companies offering added value mobile services that user have to pay for) in Spain.
