I’m sure you don’t need tips on how to get the most out of your holidays or free time. So, in this post, I won’t talk to you about optimising suitcase space or give you a list of the best beaches in the world, although, if you’re interested, we could hold a survey to see who has found the best oasis.
Today, I’m going to talk to you about taking advantage of holidays to connect with your customers, increase sales and improve your corporate image.
Have you ever noticed that when you’re on holiday, colours seem brighter, the air purer and everything around you seems to function in perfect harmony? You’re stress free, more positive and, above all, more predisposed to view your surroundings in a better light.
Well, what happens to you, happens to everyone. Holidays are the perfect time to connect with your customers, to reinforce your brand image, increase your sales and introduce yourself to new consumers.
Mobile Marketing holiday tip 1!
- The smartphone is the most-used media device. Of course! While it’s true that mobile is the medium people use most to connect to the Internet, in our daily activities, we also use other means, like computers, not only at work, but also in our free time. But, on holiday, mobile phones are the user’s favourite, without any competition. They’re always with us: on the beach, at the pool and taking photos of beautiful sunsets. On holiday, mobiles become our companion to adventure and we don’t let them leave our sides, even for a moment. This is a great time to start an SMS Marketing, Smart SMS or Email campaign, to make sure you take advantage of this window of time when your customer is more receptive than ever.
- Your customer has time to listen to you. If there’s one thing we have in excess on holiday, it’s time! And this is part of the reason why holidays are so magical. It doesn’t matter if you go on safari to Africa or stay at home and drink a mojito in the garden or on the little balcony of your cosmopolitan flat. Time is absolutely and entirely yours. So, not only do you take advantage of the opportunity to organise those papers you’ve been accumulating since January, but also to browse Facebook, surf the web, get up-to-date with funny videos, check out the latest tweets and everything else you struggle to do the rest of the year. This means, your potential customers have their mobiles with them, are predisposed to receive your message more positively and, what’s more, they have time to listen to what you have to say. But, if you’re still not convinced, read on to tip number 3.
- Social Network interactions double during holiday periods. Really, it’s true! For the same reasons I’ve already mentioned, we have the means, the time and we want to share. This means that in summer, Social Networks do anything except go on holiday. It’s one of the times of year with most interactions and we should take advantage of it, don’t you think?
What are you waiting for? Start designing your Mobile Marketing campaign now! That is, unless you’re on holiday, in which case, enjoy your mojito, sunset, safari or little urban balcony.
